They are seeking a Scheduling and Staffing Coordinator for the Emergency Department to manage daily staffing and scheduling functions, ensuring optimal patient care resources and maintaining appropriate staff-to-patient ratios.

Responsibilities

Utilizes appropriate patient care resources to fulfill any staffing needs, based on workload and patient to staff ratio for current and upcoming shift, taking into account staff skills/competencies/experience
Partners with Unit to address any staffing shortages or overages
Receives sick calls / call offs and works to fill vacancies for current and next shift
Monitors staffing level across the facility to ensure each unit meets the appropriate patient to staff ratio
Assigns on-call staff to schedule
Reviews unit future schedule plans to assure schedules are balanced
Maintain employee specific credentials in designated software system

Qualification

Staff schedulingHealthcare experienceAdvanced computer skillsOffice managementCommunication skills

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of administrative or healthcare environment experience and previous staff scheduling is required
Previous scheduling and staffing experience is required

Preferred

Associates Degree in office management or related field is strongly preferred
A combination of education and experience with advanced computer skills required
