Responsibilities
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Conduct research and assist with the development of components and software required for the modernization of a monitoring and control system aboard the FORD class ships
Be detail oriented, has a history of delivering high-quality products, technical acumen, an experienced technical writer, analytical and is capable of concisely communicating information to stakeholders
Manage multiple projects, facilitating meetings, takes ownership of assigned tasking, innovative, fosters a positive work environment, and provides project status updates to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Preferred
Experience with agile, model based system engineering, cybersecurity, and computer networking
