CAT Technology Component Coordinator

The CAT Technology Component Coordinator will ensure alignment between the CAT Technology product group and the development of electrical components for next generation technology, providing technical leadership and managing the full life cycle of autonomous haulage system components.

Responsibilities
Be responsible for the full life cycle development of all major autonomous haulage system 2.0 component development
Be responsible for on-time delivery of AHS 2.0 components to meet machine NPI timelines
Be the liaison or single point of contact between the Product Group Technical leads and Component Design Engineers for the AHS 2.0 electrical components deeply understanding the product group needs and ensure that the AHS 2.0 components will meet those needs
Responsible for reliability of the AHS 2.0 components by reviewing validation plans written by the component leads and assisting with the validation execution, as well as tracking of quality issues and managing any obsolescence

Required

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
Influencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization
Hardware Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of hardware product design; ability to convert market requirements into hardware product design
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum
Proven experience in hardware development including but not limited to electrical components
Systems Engineering and Project Management experience, ability to manage complex projects
Prior experience in Construction and/or Mining industry
Preferred
Experience in Autonomy & Automation preferred
Prior experience with Caterpillar products and tools preferred
