The Computer Works Technician 1 will support and maintain retail sales computer systems, perform repairs and upgrades, and ensure the efficient operation of the store while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Evaluate donated computers and assess their value
Perform refurbishing of computer equipment to restore units to like-new working conditions and/or appearance for the sales floor
Install an operating system on computers & configure it to CW standards
Perform minor upgrades as needed to machines on the sales floor
Troubleshoot repairs, maintains, installs, and performs testing activities on various computer equipment & peripherals
Warranty maintenance on machines bought from CW
Answering technical questions and providing customer support
Assist on the retail sales floor
Cashiering as needed
Maintain workstation
Access the internet to obtain technical and component information (drivers & driver software)
Package, price, and stock components and software for the sales floor
Works collaboratively with others to further the mission of GWH
Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Must be punctual and have dependable attendance
Must conduct work in a safe manner; maintain good housekeeping standards, have all aisles and pathways to fire exists clear and free from clutter, and keep work areas neat and clean
Must report all work incidents and injuries immediately
Adheres to all GWH policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be able to communicate, verbal and written, in English
Must have reliable transportation
Preferred
Certification in Technology Repair (A+ Certification or equivalent) is preferred
Two (2) years of experience is preferred
