They are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage project accounting for architectural and integrated design-build projects, ensuring accurate billing and financial risk management.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle project accounting: billing, AR, cash flow, job cost, AP, and consultant/subcontract finances

Partner with Project Managers on consultant task orders, change orders, budgets, and scope changes

Review and analyze WIP to identify and mitigate risks to project profitability

Prepare monthly project financial reports for PMs and leadership

Manage budgets for design and integrated projects

Support internal and external audits

Required

8+ years of project or cost accounting experience

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience

Strong GAAP knowledge and understanding of project budget–cost–billing relationships

Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power BI)

Knowledge of AIA contracts and A&E fee structures

Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think strategically

Preferred

AEC or professional services experience preferred
