Apple Bank is seeking a CRA Analyst to support their Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Program. The Analyst will be responsible for collecting and reporting data, managing data reporting tools, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, while also collaborating with various departments to enhance community development initiatives.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the development, execution, and oversight of CRA strategies and initiatives
Oversee the CRA service test and monitor CRA volunteer activities, tracking and reporting as required; administer the Bank’s Consumer Banking financial literacy partnership to ensure each branch delivers at least one financial literacy class annually
Manage two distinct volunteer databases on Track it Forward, including staff participation on boards and committees of CD-eligible nonprofit organizations
Maintain records and reporting of volunteer activities across the bank
Support engagement with Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) funding to secure CRA service test credit
Provide administrative support for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI)/Nonprofit CD Product Program and CDFI/nonprofit loans
Facilitate CRA-approved grant processes, confirming receipt of required corporate documentation from grantees
Prepare and distribute transmittal letters for grant checks and coordinate event-related grants by gathering advertisements/logos, distributing materials, monitoring RSVPs, and managing calendar invitations
Ensure departmental adherence to Bank data reporting standards and regulatory requirements
Verify compliance with new Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) regulatory mandates affecting CD CRA grants
Participate in review of community development loans, investments, grants, and services for CRA eligibility
Collect data accurately and carry out quality control tasks for CRA reporting and audits
Collaborate with internal business lines to validate their contributions to the CRA program
Review, refine, and perform validation testing on CRA-related data from core systems utilizing analytical methods and statistical tools
Provide comprehensive reporting on CRA activities using graphics, photography, and creative communication approaches to showcase initiatives
Assist in identifying CRA CD activities relevant to climate remediation or issues of racial and income equity
Support internal audits, risk assessments within the CRA Department, and external CRA regulatory examinations
Address internal requests concerning application access, vendor management, and secure data destruction
Represent the Bank at external events related to the CRA program as designated by the CRA Officer
Build partnerships with community organizations, government entities, and stakeholders to advance community development initiatives
Deliver training and guidance to staff regarding CRA compliance and best practices in community development
Monitor payments to Wolters Kluwer for contractual CRA commitments
Keep up to date with changes and improvements in database features that impact CRA functions
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
3 + years of direct CRA experience
Demonstrated expertise with CRA Service Test requirements, including collaborating to identify candidates for eligible nonprofit board placements, identifying and promoting volunteer opportunities, and organizing internal volunteering initiatives
Proven experience with Apple Bank's CRA Community Development Product Program, such as assembling necessary fiscal and corporate governance documents from applicants and distributing materials to C&I for review
Familiarity with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), specifically relating to the Affordable Housing Program and the Small Business Recovery Grant Program
Experience partnering with Apple Bank's Risk and Audit teams regarding CRA Program reviews
Understanding of CRA test volunteer requirements
Proficiency in utilizing analytical tools to conduct data mining and complex analyses, manage large datasets, generate reports, and deliver actionable business insights
Ability to consistently maintain proficiency across multiple systems and databases
Strong analytical capabilities, with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and PDF management software
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently track projects, requests, and reporting obligations
Sound business judgment and dedication to profitably serving low-to-moderate-income communities through innovative approaches
Service-oriented mindset, excellent time management abilities, and adeptness at prioritizing, critical thinking, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting and cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred
Working knowledge of CRA regulatory requirements and community development is preferred
Experience with Track It Forward, Access, and Remote Lender platforms is advantageous
