Microsoft 365 Engineer (Power Platform & Sharepoint)

Responsibilities
Design and implement SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, and custom solutions using SPFx (SharePoint Framework) and modern web technologies
Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to meet firm requirements and streamline legal practice operations
Create and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to eliminate manual processes, improve efficiency, and integrate systems across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Build integrations between Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Dataverse, and third-party legal applications (e.g., Elite 3E, Intapp Suite, NetDocs)
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights for firm leadership and practice groups
Develop custom connectors and APIs to extend platform capabilities and connect with external data sources
Administer and maintain Power Platform environments, including environment management, DLP policies, security configurations, and capacity monitoring
Administer and manage SharePoint Online tenant settings, site collections, permissions, and governance policies to ensure security and compliance
Configure and maintain Microsoft Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, and business rules
Implement and enforce governance frameworks including data loss prevention (DLP) policies, connector policies, and environment strategies
Monitor platform health, usage analytics, and performance metrics; proactively address issues and optimize resources
Manage ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) processes including solution packaging, deployment pipelines, and version control
Provide technical support for new and existing SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions, troubleshooting issues and resolving user requests
Develop and deliver training programs to enable citizen developers and end users to effectively leverage platform capabilities
Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices for platform development and administration
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver user-centered applications
Stay current with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform updates, evaluating new features and capabilities for potential firm adoption
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
5+ years of experience administering SharePoint Online and/or as a SharePoint site collection administrator
5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration and governance
Strong proficiency in Power Apps development (Canvas and Model-Driven apps) including Power Fx formulas
Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation, including cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse (data modeling, security roles, business rules)
SharePoint Online development experience including modern sites, document libraries, lists, and permissions management
Experience with Power BI report and dashboard development, DAX, and data modeling
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration
Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, and security concepts
Preferred
Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant), MS-700 (Teams Administrator), or equivalent
Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development using React and TypeScript
Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) toolkit implementation
Knowledge of Azure services (Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management)
Experience with Copilot Studio and AI Builder for intelligent automation
Experience with .NET development (C#, ASP.NET) for advanced customizations
Knowledge of REST APIs, Graph API, and integration patterns
Familiarity with legal technology systems or tooling such as Elite 3E, Intapp Intake / Conflicts, NetDocuments, Nintex K2, Intapp Integrate, ShareGate
