Business Development Lead

Top Talent HQ is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Lead to build, grow, and scale a high-performing outbound sales development organization. This strategic leadership role involves driving the company’s outbound pipeline strategy, hiring and developing a team of BDRs, and partnering with sales leadership to support growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the global outbound pipeline, converting overall revenue targets into clear team objectives and tactical plans
Build and scale the BDR organization, growing the team from approximately 5 to 15+ members within the first year
Lead all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, and training for new BDR hires
Partner closely with Sales and GTM leadership to develop outbound strategy and align on target markets and messaging
Coach and mentor BDRs to improve prospecting effectiveness, meeting quality, and overall performance
Design, implement, and refine outbound playbooks, messaging frameworks, and sales processes
Analyze performance metrics to assess pipeline health, improve conversion rates, and drive continuous improvement
Provide real-time market and customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support product and strategy development

Required

2–5 years of professional sales experience
At least 1 year of experience managing or leading a team of 3 or more sales professionals
Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding pipeline generation targets
Proven ability to scale and develop sales development teams
Hands-on experience with hiring, onboarding, and training BDRs
Strong coaching, communication, and people-development capabilities

Preferred

Prior experience in a B2B SaaS startup environment (Seed through Series C strongly preferred)
Experience selling technical products to senior technical buyers such as CTOs or CPOs
Experience as a founder or early-stage employee is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree from a highly regarded university preferred
Background in consulting or investment banking is a plus
