Human Resource Manager

Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle recruitment for staff, student, and temporary positions
Prepare offer letters and manage the pre-employment screening process
Coordinate new hire communications and employee orientation
Maintain employee personnel files in compliance with regulatory requirements
Assist with employee relations matters, counseling, and exit interviews
Maintain organization charts and the employee directory
Implement, update, and communicate personnel policies and procedures
Coordinate employee benefits with third-party providers and enroll eligible employees
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and concerns
Maintain benefits databases and employee/employer benefit portals
Process bi-weekly payroll through a third-party payroll provider
Maintain the employee time clock system and provide final approval for hourly payroll
Track and confirm employee PTO
Partner with the CFO to allocate monthly payroll expenses by property and update accounting systems
Ensure workers' compensation compliance, including policy administration, claims coordination, and completion of the annual workers' compensation audit
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws
Lead the implementation of a new HR software platform, including system configuration, data migration, testing, employee rollout, and ongoing optimization
Serve as the internal point person for HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, user adoption, and alignment with organizational needs
Evaluate HR processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and employee experience
Coordinate and administer the annual performance review process for all employees, including timelines, documentation, and completion tracking
Partner with leadership to recommend performance management frameworks and improvements
Lead training and guidance for people managers on performance reviews, feedback conversations, documentation, and HR best practices
Provide ongoing support to managers related to employee development, goal setting, and performance discussions
Implement employee recognition programs and plan employee engagement events
Provide training and guidance in HR best practices
Support a positive, compliant, and mission-aligned workplace culture
File required paperwork for new entities with the Secretary of State and Department of Revenue
Continuously develop knowledge of general human resource management practices and employment regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
4–7 years of human resources experience
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity
Previous experience with payroll and benefits administration required
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
