Industrial Water Treatment Sales Engineer

They are seeking a motivated Industrial Water Treatment Sales Engineer to join their expanding sales team, focusing on generating new business opportunities and managing customer relationships in various industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
Generate new business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships within assigned Gulf Coast territory
Manage full sales cycle for opportunities ranging from $50,000 to $500,000
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to plant engineers, operations teams, and procurement groups
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design customized water treatment solutions
Meet quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining required profit margins
Serve as technical advisor on raw water clarification, boiler feed purification, and wastewater treatment
Conduct site assessments to identify system needs and technical challenges
Prepare detailed technical proposals, specifications, and cost estimates
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as needed
Stay current on industry standards, environmental regulations, and emerging technologies
Build long-term relationships with key decision makers at industrial facilities
Track all sales activities, opportunities, and communication through CRM systems
Coordinate with customer service and technical support teams to maintain exceptional service quality
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Provide competitive analysis and market insights to sales leadership
Work closely with the VP of Sales and fellow team members to share insights and best practices
Support onboarding and development of new sales personnel as the team scales
Contribute to refining sales processes and documentation in alignment with company growth objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field
3–5+ years of industrial sales experience; water treatment strongly preferred
Experience selling into oil refining, petrochemicals, power, food manufacturing, or data center markets
Familiarity with competitors such as Veolia, Xylem, Ovivo, MPW, Puretec, etc
Proven success meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Strong understanding of industrial water treatment processes and equipment
Solid knowledge of water chemistry and treatment technologies
Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
Understanding of environmental compliance requirements
Experience conducting water testing and analysis
Excellent technical communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated, able to work independently in a field-based environment
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
