AI Innovation Intern

Responsibilities
Help shape McKinsey’s AI agenda by identifying where AI can genuinely improve consulting work
Work closely with engagement teams and practice experts to understand how the work gets done
Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to design, build, and iterate on AI tools and agents
Get AI tools and agents into users’ hands quickly and improve them based on feedback
Influence what gets scaled, improved, reworked, or stopped
Demonstrate work and share learnings with senior leaders shaping McKinsey’s GenAI strategy
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled college student or a recent college graduate
Curiosity about GenAI and agent-based systems, and how they can change how people work
Clear thinking and strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort learning by doing and adjusting quickly based on feedback
Initiative and ownership mindset
Interest in solving real problems in imperfect environments
Preferred
Coursework in a STEM-related field such as computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or related disciplines (preferred but not required)
Leadership roles or extracurriculars that show ability to build, and drive ideas forward (preferred but not required)
