Environmental Program Assistant/Analyst - 4050156

The Environmental Program Assistant/Analyst will perform facility oversight related to the inspection of sites formerly contaminated with hazardous substances, ensuring compliance and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and perform oversight of remediated sites in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations and Activity and Use Limitations established in environmental covenants
Participate in project work planning, tracking, and reporting. This will include preparing investigation cover letters and photo logs that document site conditions
Coordinate and communicate site activities with other departments, team members, and management
Respond to public inquiries and provide technical and administrative support to management on site assessment activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; preference towards environmental, chemistry, or geology degrees
0-1 year of relevant experience for Assistant position
2-4 years of relevant experience for Analyst position
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources
Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste and their uses, interactions, dangers, production, handling, storage, and disposal
Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources
Ability to identify rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyze information and make correct inferences or draw accurate conclusions
