Assistant Director of Fitness Programs & Facilities

Responsibilities

Manage the operations of all Campus Recreation fitness programs, facilities, activity spaces, and student and part-time staff
Recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating upwards of 60+ student and part time staff
Managing two fitness centers
Overseeing group fitness, personal training, and other instructional and specialty fitness programs

Qualification

Exercise Science degreeFitness programming experienceCPR/AED certificationGroup fitness certificationPersonal training certificationCollege students

Required

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports and Recreation Management or a closely related field. Can substitute education with nationally recognized certifications in group fitness and/or personal training
3-5 years of experience in fitness programming and management, including personal training and/or group fitness
Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid, or the ability to obtain from a nationally recognized organization within the first (6) months of employment

Preferred

Nationally recognized certification in group fitness and personal training
Previous work experience with college students or college-age populations
