NEOGOV is seeking an Urban Forestry intern to assist Forestry staff on various projects, focusing on shade tree disease control and tree planting efforts. The intern will conduct a city-wide tree survey and work full-time in-office from mid-May to Labor Day.

Qualification

Required

Must possess a valid Minnesota Class D driver's license, or equivalent out-of-state
Must be actively working toward a degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, or related field, and must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester
Completion of Dendrology class
Able to perform assigned tasks in variable weather conditions
Ability to effectively communicate with other city staff and the public by phone, e-mail and in person
