Material Planning Supervisor

Epitec is partnering with a Tier 1 automotive supplier that manages the complete suspension and overhead systems for OEMs such as GM, Ford, and Chrysler. They are seeking an experienced professional for a direct-hire Materials Planning Supervisor role responsible for leading a materials planning team and overseeing procurement and material flow activities.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a materials planning team
Oversee planning, procurement, and material flow activities
Manage supplier performance and drive delivery improvements
Maintain accurate MRP/RPS system data and planning parameters
Support production scheduling and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Coordinate engineering changes and customer delivery updates
Manage JIT expediting, customs/brokerage requirements, and inventory accuracy
Resolve supplier discrepancies, obsolescence claims, and material issues
Execute special assignments and support documentation processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
5+ years of materials management experience (automotive preferred)
Proficient with MRP systems, RPS, MS Office, and sequencing software
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Assertive expediting capabilities and strong problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license; up to 10% travel

Preferred

Professional certifications (CPM, APP, CPIM) are a plus
