WWE Collection System Project Manager IV - Infrastructure – San Francisco Public Utilities Commission – (5508)
The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Project Manager IV for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). This role involves overseeing and implementing capital improvement projects related to wastewater collection systems, flood resilience, and green infrastructure to enhance public health and safety while addressing localized flooding issues.

Responsibilities
Determining the scope and breadth of the capital projects in the Program
Conducting system analysis, developing, and evaluating technical alternative solutions and pipeline alignments
Siting and acquiring property or easements for interim and permanent facilities
Procurement of the design, environmental, and construction management consultants
Leading hydraulic, seismic, and system modeling
Overseeing the programmatic and project specific environmental review process
Managing detailed design and construction of the preferred project alternative
Developing of project life-cycle costs and incorporating all systems into the Wastewater Asset Management Program
Coordinating with residents, neighborhood associations, special interest groups, and other stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or planning plus eight (8) years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience; OR
Possession of a bachelor's degree in another field, plus ten (10) years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project; OR
Twelve (12) years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project; OR
Valid California Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect, plus four (4) years of project management experience
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment
Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted
Preferred
The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields
A California professional engineers' license
Extensive, proven experience preferably at a Senior Engineer (City classification 5211) level or project management experience at a PM III level (City classification 5506) on infrastructure sewer projects and other wastewater related capital improvement projects
Experience in Design, Construction, and Project Management disciplines related to Low Impact Design approaches, combined sewer operations, stormwater management and control, and wastewater/stormwater hydraulics and hydrology, pump stations, and Wastewater R&R
A candidate with PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired
