Manufacturing Process Engineer

LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to translate design specifications into efficient, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing processes for advanced electronics products. This hands-on role provides technical support to production, ensures process compliance, and drives collaboration between Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical liaison between Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
Translate new product designs and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into actionable manufacturing plans
Act as the 'Voice of Manufacturing' to the design team, providing feedback on manufacturability
Provide hands-on support to production lines, troubleshoot process and assembly issues, and minimize downtime
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production defects, failures, and yield excursions
Manage Material Review Board (MRB) processes for non-conforming assemblies
Design, implement, and maintain custom fixtures and test equipment
Develop and maintain detailed Manufacturing Work Instructions for all product assemblies
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve cycle time, cost, and first-pass yield
Collaborate with Quality to implement in-process inspections, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and audits of manufacturing processes

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
4+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly, ideally in LCD, OLED, TFT displays, or PCBA
Experience serving as a cross-functional liaison between Engineering, Quality, and Production
Strong knowledge of electronics theory, schematics, wiring diagrams, and component datasheets
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Familiarity with production equipment, tooling, and process validation in electronics manufacturing
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
