The Associate Director of Photo Operations is responsible for managing the wedding photography team, ensuring smooth operations, scheduling, and client delivery while also serving as a Lead Photographer for approximately 40 days a year.

Responsibilities
Assign and schedule photographers for wedding photography clients across the active production pipeline
Manage team capacity, coverage, and workload distribution
Approve PTO requests and ensure proper staffing across the calendar
Delegate and manage photo post-production workflows
Ensure galleries meet or exceed contracted delivery timelines
Review and approve all outgoing wedding photo galleries before client delivery
Maintain consistency in quality, organization, and presentation
Facilitate weekly one-on-one meetings with photo team members
Provide regular, constructive feedback and coaching
Support team members with clarity, preparation, and resources for upcoming work
Address performance issues directly and professionally
Carry out disciplinary actions when necessary, in accordance with company policies
Serve as the point person for escalated or dissatisfied wedding photography clients
Empathize with distressed clients and vendors while maintaining firm, fair boundaries
Resolve conflicts calmly and professionally—protecting both the client experience and the team
Personally manage wedding Photography clients
Approximately 40 production days over the course of the year
Work closely with the Photo Team Creative Director to ensure photographers are fully equipped for each event
Collaborate with operations and leadership to continuously improve systems and workflows
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience in wedding photography or photography production
Prior experience in people management, team leadership, or production operations
Strong understanding of photo post-production workflows and delivery timelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage client relationships in high-stakes or escalated situations
