The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming components and finished goods, working closely with suppliers to communicate and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities
Track supplier metrics including quality and financial measurements
Effectively communicate quality defect detection methods and standards to suppliers
Track and identify deviations and initiate sustainable corrective actions
When necessary, provide training on the use of root cause, corrective action tools such as 5-why and 8D
Travel to supplier sites to conduct audits, communicate standards, and assist with corrective actions
Enforce a safe, clean work environment for all employees
Complete any additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a technical field
Prior experience in the field of supplier quality is required
Must be able to communicate effectively with the ability to delegate assignments. Specifically, at an upper intermediate (B2) in the English language
Proficient with Microsoft word processing and Excel spreadsheet development
Must be able to use and understand quality measurement tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other electronic measurement tools
Prior experience in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing setting is needed
Preferred
Manufacturing Quality Engineering experience is a plus
Prior experience in QMS and problem-solving methodologies (RCA, 8D, 6M, etc.)
Auditing experience is a plus with a certification as an auditor – ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA 6.3
