Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and release of switch components for assigned programs
Collaborate with suppliers, program teams, studio, ergonomics, quality, and purchasing
Develop and manage specifications, drawings, quality documents, and technical reviews
Guide Full-Service Suppliers (FSS) through DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D processes, and other key deliverables
Support development of functional, engineering, and diagnostic specifications
Drive issue resolution for R/1000, TGW, and launch‑related concerns
Ensure cost targets are met and cost‑efficient designs are achieved
Utilize product development tools including FEDE, FEDEBOM, TYGRA, WERS, VSEM, JIRA/JAMA, eFDVS, CDP&R, Integrator, and DEMS/AIMS
Participate in Commodity PATs and support vehicle/program launches
Travel as needed to assembly plants and supplier facilities (especially during launch)
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Design & Release experience with electromechanical components
Background in automotive switch or electrical/electronic component development
Strong project and supplier management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Experience collaborating within large, diverse cross‑functional teams
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Preferred
Project/program management from concept to launch
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Confident communicator with the ability to guide technical discussions
MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
