Responsibilities
The Lead for Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for a team of Cloud Platform Engineers
The Cloud Platform Lead is responsible for coordinating and curating product roadmaps from the Cloud Platform Engineers
Socializing this roadmap withing the larger organization
Managing commitments and delivery from a team of engineers
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, with a focus on compute, storage, and AI/ML services
Hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, EC2, ECS, ECR, Fargate, Lamda, and Image Builder, CloudFormation/Terraform
Proficient in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration via Kubernetes (Amazon EKS)
Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty)
Experience with MLOps tools such as SageMaker Pipelines, MLflow, or Argo Workflows
Management experience with a small to medium sized team
Strong knowledge of at the AWS cloud platform and its associated services
Understanding of cloud architecture principles, including infrastructure as code, microservices, and serverless computing
Proficiency with Terraform, Lambda, and other languages like Python, Golang for automating tasks, managing infrastructure, and creating deployment pipelines
Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and how they apply to cloud environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
A commitment to staying current with the rapidly evolving cloud landscape and learning new technologies
Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and platform developers across networking, compute, and automation domains
Drive the roadmap for cloud platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with business and AI/ML requirements
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, automation, and operational ownership
Work closely with platform engineers, enterprise architects, and cybersecurity teams to deliver platform solutions
Manage cloud costs, reporting, and forecasting across business units
Lead operational reviews, incident analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
Familiar with the use of GitHub, GitLab, IDEs and other development version control and development technologies
