Responsibilities
Operate HDD equipment safely, accurately using the locating system to guide the drill bit, track its progress, and ensure precise bore path execution
Perform necessary tooling changes for various ground conditions. Conduct pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
Conduct utility pot-holing to safely expose and verify the location of underground utilities before drilling operations
Assist the Foreman with planning and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to drilling operations, excavation, and utility work
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an HDD Operator required
Extensive knowledge of HDD techniques, ground conditions, and utility locating principles
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be prepared to travel extensively for extended periods of time
Self-driven, organized, safety-conscious, thorough, and able to think analytically for problem resolution
