InternSteffes is offering a summer internship opportunity for students to support daily HR department activities. The HR Intern will assist in coordinating HR policies, organizing e-learning content, and maintaining employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Provides clerical and administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; and maintaining equipment and supplies
Assists with day-to-day operations of the HR and Training functions and duties
Assists with administering Visual Acuity Assessments
Assists with maintaining employee Personnel and HIPPA files
Assists with initial upload of employee checklist and other e-learning content
Assists with tracking employee progress within onboarding program (objectives completed in 1st Month)
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping HR information confidential
Assist with maintaining training records, licenses, and certifications
Maintains quality service by following organization standards
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Assist with HRIS data entry
Assists the manager with HR projects
Assists with handling employment application intake
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations related to employment
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management
Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or Business
2+ years of business courses
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must have sufficient Excel experience
An acceptable combination of education and experience
