Responsibilities
Operate and maintain slitting, cutting, and lacing machinery to process materials according to specified dimensions and tolerances
Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality assurance, identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies
Adjust machine settings and tooling to accommodate different material types and thicknesses, ensuring optimal performance
Collaborate with production planners and quality control teams to meet daily production targets and maintain compliance with safety standards
Document production activities, machine maintenance, and any deviations from standard operating procedures for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience operating slitting, cutting, or lacing equipment in a manufacturing or production environment
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and specifications
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with material processing
Preferred
Previous experience in textile, packaging, or related industries involving material preparation
Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control standards relevant to slitting and cutting operations
Basic computer skills for logging production data and machine settings
Certification in machine operation or manufacturing processes
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues independently
