Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor extrusion developers within the department
Oversee all phases of the NPD process, ensuring alignment with performance standards, specifications, and timelines
Design, develop, and tune extrusion dies and downstream cooling tooling using cutting-edge techniques
Set up and operate extrusion equipment during development and testing
Provide accurate tooling and process estimates for customer quotations
Ensure smooth, efficient handoff of projects from development to production
Identify and evaluate new technologies and advanced development methods, including AI-driven solutions
Support scrap reduction initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts
Oversee validation of tooling rebuilds and maintain documentation within the ERP system
Maintain high-quality standards aligned with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical Discipline (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of profile extrusion tooling development experience

Preferred

Coursework in Plastics Technology
Experience with machine operation and processing equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
Knowledge of Polymer Science
