Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance on consumer products safety and performance standards, and regulations (e.g. CPSIA, Canada SOR, ASTM, ANSI, EN, ISO)
Support development, revision, and optimization of test protocols/plans
Participate in different standard development organization’s committee meetings (e.g., ASTM)
Stay current with changes to regulations and standards affecting consumer products
Act as a technical point of contact for sales, account managers and clients regarding test and regulatory requirements
Provide technical training to laboratory staff, internal stakeholders and clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting
Good knowledge and demonstrated application of best practices in laboratory and personnel management
Strong knowledge of consumer product regulations and, safety and performance standards
