Responsibilities
Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for automated equipment
Develop PLC, HMI, and servo drive programs for new and existing machinery
Create and update wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings using CAD tools
Perform equipment tryout, debug, and start-up support during installation and commissioning
Ensure proper integration of hardware, software, sensors, actuators, and machine safety systems
Troubleshoot equipment and control system issues to minimize downtime
Provide technical support for production, maintenance, and engineering teams
Ensure control systems remain compliant with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Train plant personnel on system operation and best practices
Analyze system performance data and implement improvements to increase reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize automation processes and reduce manual efforts
Support lean manufacturing and process enhancement initiatives
Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, test plans, and engineering change notices
Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, maintenance, and operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related Engineering field
Experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred)
Strong understanding of industrial automation, robotics, and control systems
Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, ePlan, or equivalents)
Knowledge of electrical and safety standards
Preferred
Experience working in industrial manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting automation equipment
Familiarity with SCADA systems, data collection, and industrial networking
