Responsibilities
Serve as a section manager responsible for the Michigan State Police (MSP), Grants and Community Services Division (GCSD), Prevention Services Section (PSS)
Oversee the operation and administration of the Community Services Unit and the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority
Bring prevention, awareness, and educational initiatives and programs to the residents of Michigan through the MSP Community Service Troopers (CSTs) and all MSP personnel
Form public and private partnerships with outside agencies related to crime prevention and community engagement initiatives
Coordinate activities along with the oversight of and responsibility associated with the MSP Angel Program
Assess the problem of motor vehicle theft in Michigan, analyze various methods of combating the problem, and grant funds for theft prevention teams
Apply for and manage public and private grant funding for various proposals related to section activities
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level
This position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police
