Responsibilities
Review statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and set quality and reliability objectives of finished product
Review and approve manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities to management
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
Create and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost
Review and submit production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control
Review operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to assign worker functions and responsibilities
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a must have
Candidates who have an industrial engineering degree will be top priority and considered first before those without a degree
Open to new hires who are fresh out of college and have a Bachelor's Degree or have had an internship (open to 0-2 years of experience)
Ability to work well with others
Good people skills
Very personable
Outgoing who can engage others
Layout design software experience – for example AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Internship in manufacturing/manufacturing experience
Experience working with unions
