Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the Dynatrace platform (SaaS or Managed), including upgrades, configurations, governance, and integrations
Deploy and manage OneAgents and ActiveGates across cloud, on-prem, and containerized environments (Kubernetes / OpenShift)
Build and manage dashboards, alerts, SLOs, custom events, tagging rules, and management zones
Implement end-to-end monitoring for applications, APIs, infrastructure, logs, and user experience
Configure distributed tracing, service flow mapping, synthetic monitoring, and RUM
Enable automated instrumentation for microservices, serverless functions, and container workloads
Analyze performance, latency, bottlenecks, and error trends using Davis AI insights
Partner with application teams to drive root-cause analysis and performance tuning
Define and manage SLIs/SLOs aligned with business KPIs and reliability goals
Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines, ITSM tools, logging and event platforms
Build automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML, Ansible, etc
Support observability-as-code using Dynatrace Monitoring-as-Code (Monaco) and/or Terraform
Provide observability insights during major incidents and post-incident reviews
Deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics highlighting trends, improvements, and system health
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for observability strategy and best practices
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace APM (SaaS or Managed)
Strong understanding of observability pillars: metrics, logs, traces, and events
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes
Experience configuring dashboards, alerts, tagging rules, management zones, and SLOs
Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and APM concepts
Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
Preferred
Dynatrace certifications (Associate, Professional, APM/Cloud/Kubernetes extensions)
Experience with Monaco, Dynatrace Grail / Logs, or OpenTelemetry
Exposure to SRE practices, chaos engineering, or performance engineering
Integration experience with tools such as: ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Slack / MS Teams
Knowledge of network monitoring and synthetic testing
