Lead Process Engineer (Business Process Risk Identification)

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Process Engineer for their Business Process Risk Identification (BPRI) team. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to document unique business process workflows, identify optimization opportunities, and support BPRI Sprint Execution activities.

Responsibilities

Applies process development and engineering expertise to create innovative, long-term solutions focused on both client and employee experience
Supports programs and leads projects targeting core business processes to achieve strategic goals such as enhanced client/employee experience and value realization (expense reduction and revenue growth)
Engages with key stakeholders to assess and implement new technologies and processes that improve efficiency and consistency
Creates and maintains documentation used to evaluate current processes and design future-state recommendations
Uses tools such as process mapping and process mining to assess process capability and identify improvement opportunities; communicates findings to stakeholders to inform specifications and improvements
Leverages technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to enhance monitoring, resiliency, and system availability
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of openness and inclusivity, ensuring delivery of expected outcomes and value
Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis and/or process engineering
Strong process engineering and problem-solving skills
Experience leading process improvement projects
Ability to engage stakeholders and drive change
Proficient in process mapping, mining, and documentation
Familiar with process engineering tools and simulations
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration
High technical acumen and attention to detail
Analytical Thinking - Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Systems Thinking - Knowledge of the critical interdependencies among individual system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results
Change Agility - Knowledge of the necessity to adapt self and team to evolving business needs; ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives that improve the organization's performance in light of new requirements

Preferred

Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Background in IT or experience working with technology teams

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Operational Excellence, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
