Responsibilities
Analyzing underwriting operations; creating, integrating, and modifying programs to meet financial and operational objectives
Assisting in validating, testing and documenting the underwriting/quoting solution delivered
Works with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
May conduct presentations to provide end users with knowledge to maximize their use of developed systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent years of experience are determined as one year of technical experience for every year of college requested
2 years - Experience in programming required
1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required
Experience developing with MS Office Suite (VBA), Visual Studio (VB.net, C#, WPF, MVVM, SQL, T-SQL, XML)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated understanding of concepts similar to rating formulas, tools, databases, or reports associated with the Insurance/Finance environment
