Responsibilities
Conduct primary and secondary market research/relative value analysis, utilizing credit skills to identify investment opportunities
Build/maintain proprietary financial models for entire peer group in given sectors, accompanied by internal due diligence meetings with management teams/company visits
Make actionable investment recommendations by translating strategy in to executable trading options/solutions in an effort to increase portfolio returns
Interface with, and supports the Firm’s major proprietary and vendor related systems and applications
Develop reports to assist the Portfolio / Research Manager in assessing portfolio risk exposure, benchmark characteristics and trade allocation parameters
Participate in department and sector team strategy meetings
Qualification
Required
Self-motivated candidates with a demonstrable track record of academic success
Ability to persevere in a challenging environment
Candidates should already be exploring career opportunities available to them within the financial services field
Specific desire to focus on Credit Research
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Computer literate with advanced Excel skills
