Major Tool & Machine is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with various project duties. The intern will be responsible for updating databases, creating metric charts, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and providing engineering support to improve manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

Project duties will be determined by the Program Manager. Possible tasks may include:
Updating database information
Creating metric charts to track current project results
Supporting continuous improvement efforts
Documenting processes of operations
Developing training material to support documented processes
Working with individuals to provide engineering/technical support to improving methods for manufacturing
Creating CAD models to support manufacturing efforts
Starting and updating drawings to better reflect current models

Required

Pursuing a BS degree in a technically related field, and must be completing sophomore or junior academic year currently
Must have experience with Microsoft Suite
Must have experience with CAD software (preferably Inventor)
General coursework regarding engineering
The Employee Is Required To stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
Exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading
Ability to communicate with employees
Attendance is an essential job function
