Responsibilities
Own and evolve AWS cloud architecture across multiple environments and regions
Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (Python), CloudFormation, and Terraform
Lead GitLab CI/CD platform design , including shared pipelines, templates, and runner fleet management
Implement and manage containerized deployments using Docker, ECS, and EKS
Design and execute multi-region disaster recovery and failover strategies ensuring 24/7 reliability
Automate security controls, cost optimization, and compliance across the AWS ecosystem
Collaborate with engineering teams to define coding standards, shared modules, and best practices
Support data infrastructure initiatives including Data Lakes, ETL automation, and Lambda-based workflows
Qualification
Required
Expert-level experience with AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Route53)
Strong proficiency in AWS CDK (Python)
Hands-on experience with CloudFormation and Terraform
Advanced GitLab CI/CD experience (shared templates, pipeline optimization, runner management)
Deep experience with Docker and container orchestration on ECS/EKS
Strong Python scripting skills
Familiarity with Node.js environments
Deep understanding of VPC peering, Transit Gateways, Route53, and multi-region DNS
Experience automating security best practices in AWS
Proven success implementing multi-region DR and failover architectures
Preferred
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on experience with Data Lake architectures and ETL automation
Strong mentorship background with evidence of tools or frameworks adopted across teams
