Responsibilities
Lead and support a wide range of industrial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, subleases, licenses, easements, and site development agreements
Advise on real estate matters related to warehouses, logistics hubs, testing facilities, maintenance depots, charging infrastructure, and other industrial assets
Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Product) to structure and negotiate transactions that support business objectives
Manage outside counsel efficiently and cost-effectively across multiple jurisdictions
Identify and mitigate legal risk related to zoning, land use, environmental, access, utilities, and regulatory constraints
Support scalability by developing templates, playbooks, and process improvements for repeatable real estate transactions
Provide strategic guidance on real estate considerations tied to emerging technologies and new modes of mobility
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
6+ years of real estate legal experience, with a strong emphasis on industrial and commercial real estate
Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting complex real estate agreements independently
In-house experience at a technology, logistics, transportation, or infrastructure-heavy company or relevant law firm experience supporting similar clients
Practical, business-oriented legal judgment with the ability to move quickly while managing risk
Preferred
Experience supporting autonomous vehicle programs, including testing sites, depots, charging infrastructure, or right-of-way/access issues
Familiarity with real estate issues tied to emerging mobility technologies, robotics, or advanced transportation systems
Experience working on multi-state or international portfolios
Background in environmental compliance, land use, or public-private partnerships related to industrial assets
Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving regulatory environments
