Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and maintain complex cable and harness systems for aerospace applications
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly
Perform inspections and tests on cable and harness assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
Troubleshoot and repair defective or malfunctioning cable and harness assemblies
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including test results and repair logs
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any issues or improvements in the assembly process
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience (Certification) with IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space Addendum standards for cable and wire harness assemblies
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cable and harness assembly, preferably in the aerospace industry
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cable and harness assembly
Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief and testing instruments
Working level understanding of force, torque, and precision hand tools
Requires strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field
Experience (Certification) with J-STD-001 with Aerospace Addendum standard for Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
Familiarity with AS9100 quality management standards
Prior experience working in a regulated environment, such as aerospace, military, or defense
