Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of financial and economic datasets from sourcing through production delivery
Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines supporting quantitative research and modeling
Ingest, reconcile, and normalize vendor and internal market data
Model time series and cross-sectional data for downstream quant analysis and ML workflows
Extend hardened pipelines to handle data gaps, revisions, and upstream changes
Implement monitoring, QC, and reconciliation to protect research and production systems
Partner closely with quant researchers and investment engineers on data design and usability
Collaborate with infrastructure teams on versioning, deployment, and production reliability
Clearly document data sources, assumptions, and known limitations
Qualification
Required
Professional experience working with financial and or economic data in a quant or research setting
Strong Python skills for data engineering, analysis, and pipeline development
Experience supporting quantitative research or systematic investment workflows
Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and time series data
Experience handling third-party or vendor financial datasets
Strong communication around data quality, assumptions, and edge cases
Preferred
Experience with Scala or distributed data processing frameworks
Background in quantitative finance, asset management, hedge funds, or macro research
Exposure to machine learning pipelines and model evaluation workflows
Experience working alongside DevOps or platform teams
Familiarity with cloud-based or distributed data systems
