Responsibilities
Install commercial flooring systems including vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile/plank (LVT/LVP), sheet vinyl, carpet tile, rubber flooring, and specialty flooring systems
Prepare subfloors by measuring, leveling, grinding, patching, and moisture testing
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings
Accurately measure, cut, and fit flooring materials
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Apply adhesives and finishes according to manufacturer and job specifications
Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and union safety standards
Work collaboratively with other trades and jobsite supervision
Qualification
Required
Member in good standing with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) or ability to obtain dispatch through the local union
Knowledge of flooring materials, tools, and installation techniques
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Green Bay
Preferred
Experience in commercial or industrial floor covering installation preferred
