Electronics Technician II
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is dedicated to environmental stewardship and the protection of North Carolina's resources. They are seeking an Electronics Technician II to assist with maintaining and learning ambient air monitoring equipment, including calibration, repair, and technical support for monitoring sites.

Responsibilities
Certifies monitors to assure field readiness, prepares site infrastructure, and installs monitors and associated equipment such as air samplers, calibrators, data loggers, computers and zero air devices
Provides maintenance and technical support for this electronic equipment and the corresponding monitoring sites
Use of electronic diagnostic test equipment/instrumentation and devices used to calibrate, certify, diagnose, repair, and modify the monitoring equipment and systems
Use of forms and equipment / site logs required to process and document the numerous support activities
Provide support to all DAQ sites to include weatherproofing shelters, heating/cooling, communications, security of the site, safety of personnel, etc
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution
Two years of progressive experience in the repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronic apparatus
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted
May require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission
