Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of software engineers. Oversee the team’s execution, provide technical guidance (e.g., design review, code review) to individuals to ensure best practices throughout the software development life-cycle

Set the team priorities to support the broader organization’s goals, collaborate with executive leadership to discover the technical roadmap for the cold storage platform

Communicate with partner teams and build alignment on strategy, decision-making, and project plan

Make direct technical contributions (e.g., design, development, debugging issues) to the cold storage platform development

Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, meet regularly with individuals to provide feedback and coaching, fostering their growth and career development

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

8 years of experience in software development

3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture

3 years of experience in a technical leadership role

2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization

Experience in leading large complex infrastructure projects and delivering them to production

Experience in building distributed storage systems (e.g., blob/object, file, block)

Excellent people management and communication skills, and ability to build consensus
