Program Administrator

Responsibilities
Assist/train teachers with the development of grade/ability-appropriate lesson planning within the special education classroom
Administer, supervise, and coordinate all educational and support services for students
Ensure that all teachers/classrooms have access to district-approved curriculum
Assist/train teachers with proper classroom management plans - strategize with the team on specific behavior concerns with students
Assist in developing and monitoring an organized and effective schoolwide record-keeping system for grades, transcripts, and student progress
Provide ongoing support for all teaching staff in the areas of lesson planning, IEP writing, classroom management, record keeping, and curriculum development
Organize required site state testing and attend any district meetings involving state testing
Function as School Admin when the Principal is not available
As appropriate, conduct teacher meetings
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals and participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings
Develop and sustain positive relationships with local school districts and community partners
Monitor school performance and actively contribute to the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives
Ensure campus safety and promote a school climate that supports student engagement and staff well-being
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Use of a personal cell phone for work-related communication
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all times
Represent the agency in a professional, respectful manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Assume other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and as they relate to the position
Qualification
Required
California clear teaching credential or intern credential in special education or Pupil Personnel Services Credential
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) and customer service skills
Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office-related software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
General administrative and clerical abilities
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate professionalism, patience, empathy, and courtesy
Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screening
Preferred
Special education teaching/counseling experience in non-public schools is highly preferred
Experience working with students with ED, ID, Mental Health concerns, Autism spectrum disorder, etc, strongly preferred
