Maintenance Repairman 2 - Blue Knob State Park

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a seasonal Maintenance Repairman 2 for Blue Knob State Park, focusing on the upkeep of park facilities. Responsibilities

Performing advanced skilled work across various trades, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry, specifically in the construction, maintenance, and repair of park facilities, equipment, and natural resources
Reaching out to vendors to gather price quotes, calculating the costs of necessary supplies and equipment, estimating the man-hours needed for tasks, and preparing documentation for supervisor review and approval
Overseeing semi-skilled laborers and other personnel to ensure the successful completion of projects
Employing both hand and power tools to execute rough and finish carpentry tasks related to the maintenance, renovation, and construction of park facilities
Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and diagrams to effectively repair or install various elements such as floor coverings, doors, locks, screens, roofs, soffits, fascia, spouting, windows, and decks
Planning, designing, and constructing wooden projects, including storage cabinets and shelving units
Undertaking repairs, renovations, and new installations within the plumbing systems of all facilities
Clearing blocked drains, fixing leaking faucets, fountains, showers, urinals, and toilets, as well as replacing hot water tanks and installing or repairing sewage and water lines
Pulling, repairing, and reinstalling submersible water well pumps and lift station pumps, along with draining pipes in preparation for winter
Conducting preventative maintenance and performing checklist inspections on vehicles, equipment, and tools to ensure their safe operation
Performing installations and repairs related to electrical systems, including new construction of fuse and circuit panels, as well as cords and other electrical components

Required

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
You must be able to perform essential job functions
