Responsibilities
Represents JITC in meetings with representatives of DoD, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Allied and Coalition partners and other Federal, State, and Local Governments officials on interoperability assessments programs
Coordinates contractor, vendor, or manufacturer assistance when required and makes recommendations for adaptations of new systems or improvements to current systems to accomplish assigned mission
Responsible for interoperability testing of Joint National Security Systems (NSS) and Information Technology Systems (ITS)
Develops and implements methods and procedures to assess NSS and ITS Joint/Combined interoperability and Operational Suitability
Provides Test support for test beds related to assigned projects

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
Must obtain Acquisition certification in the Test and Evaluation Functional Area at the Practitioner Functional Tier within 60 months of entry into this position, in accordance with DOD Instruction 5000.66
This is a drug testing position

Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions
Experience managing the execution, budgeting, and contractor support needed to conduct interdependent tests and evaluations (T&E) that are required to meet the T&E requirements for the Agency's Information Technology programs
