Responsibilities
Oversee and implement a range of projects from their initial scope through to the development of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
Employ engineering principles to guide decision-making throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and evaluate PS&E packages for projects of differing complexities
Review plans and specifications, finalize engineering submissions, and conduct calculations for utility relocations
Propose safety improvements for construction initiatives based on engineering standards and codes
Perform drainage calculations for the design of new roadway drainage systems and the retrofitting of existing ones
Qualification
Required
Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologist ; or
Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline ; or
Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
