MHSSI Program Assistant
The University of Michigan is seeking a MHSSI Program Assistant to support the Michigan Health Sciences Summer Institute. This role involves collaborating with program managers, coordinating summer programming, and providing assistance with various administrative tasks and events.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Pre-Medical Pathways Program Manager and the MHSSI Administrative Project Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and support the success of 2026 CDA/URA Summer Programming
Attend regular 1:1 meetings with the Program Manager
Assist with Faculty Mentor monthly, check-in meetings
Co-lead weekly team meetings, including preparing agendas and facilitating discussions with the four Community Advisors
Serve as the primary contact for the four Medical Student Tutors, including conducting weekly check-ins and overseeing MHSSI tutor scheduling and availability
Assist with the organization, setup, implementation, and cleanup of CDA/URA programs and events, and support the execution of key events (e.g., Move-In/Move-Out, Welcome Dinner, Friday Socials, URA Research Symposium, Closing Dinner/Ceremony)
Proctor CDA practice MCAT exams (4 Saturdays)
Provide meaningful feedback weekly to URA students on their research project progress, including poster and oral presentations (Monday & Wednesday evenings)
Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current or incoming medical student, or recent pre-medical/pre-health graduate
Experience planning or facilitating workshops and developing enrichment activities
Availability to work some evenings and/or weekends
Ability to appropriately respond to crisis situations and medical emergencies
Must be available virtually from May 4 - May 22
Must be available in person from May 26-July 29
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Residential Advisor or Supervisory experience preferred
