Responsibilities
Review new loan applications for accuracy and completeness
Set up and organize loan files in Encompass
Order and track key third-party items such as VOEs, HOI, title, and credit supplements
Collect and review borrower documents (IDs, bank statements, income docs, etc.)
Maintain detailed, accurate notes and update milestones in Encompass
Prepare files for review by senior processors and underwriters
Follow up on outstanding documents and conditions with borrowers and loan officers
Communicate professionally with borrowers, LOs, and third-party partners
Ensure files remain compliant, complete, and audit-ready throughout the process
Support pipeline movement by keeping all tasks timely, organized, and well-documented
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of mortgage or financial/administrative experience
Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
Familiarity with mortgage documents and terminology
Basic understanding of timelines, compliance concepts, and workflow processes
Experience with Encompass or ability to learn technology quickly
Excellent communication, follow-through, and customer service mindset
Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Preferred
Exposure to Non-QM or bank statement loans
