Sr. Intern, Strategic Business Operations – Cost to Serve & Financial Modeling
Thermo Fisher Scientific is a leading organization dedicated to making a difference in health and safety. They are seeking a Sr. Intern in Strategic Business Operations to support the development of proposals and conduct business analyses that impact their operations.
Research
Responsibilities
Support the development of technical and commercial proposals by translating complex service and engineering concepts into clear, customer-facing documentation
Perform business and financial analyses to support proposal pricing, margin targets, and competitive positioning
Create data-driven visuals, summaries, and dashboards to communicate proposal assumptions, risks, and value propositions to stakeholders
Assist in standardizing proposal templates, cost models, and analytical tools to improve proposal accuracy and turnaround time
Conduct market, customer, and historical win/loss analyses to inform proposal strategy and improve bid effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Graduate student completing a Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences field of study between December 2026 and June 2027
Previous related internships totaling 1+ years experience required
Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity
Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status
