Responsibilities
Assist with installing and removing network cabling and related infrastructure in Data Center environments
Support senior technicians by helping build consistent, reliable installation processes and improving them over time
Provide basic updates on job progress to leads and project stakeholders
Perform clean, organized workmanship and help maintain a safe, tidy work area
Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and industry best practices while working on-site
Work with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may slow down the project
Read and understand basic blueprints, floor plans, and redline drawings with guidance
Develop a working knowledge of Data Center infrastructure systems and components
Qualification
Required
Assist with installing and removing network cabling and related infrastructure in Data Center environments
Support senior technicians by helping build consistent, reliable installation processes and improving them over time
Provide basic updates on job progress to leads and project stakeholders
Perform clean, organized workmanship and help maintain a safe, tidy work area
Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and industry best practices while working on-site
Work with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may slow down the project
Read and understand basic blueprints, floor plans, and redline drawings with guidance
Develop a working knowledge of Data Center infrastructure systems and components
Familiar with basic telecom and construction hand tools
Understands the importance of customer service and professional communication
Strong awareness of job-site safety requirements and PPE use
Able to read and interpret simple floor plans and layout drawings
Basic understanding of wiring schemes and cable testing procedures
Able to pull, route, and organize various types of low-voltage cabling
Capable of performing field terminations and labeling with supervision
Takes direction from Operations Manager, Technicians, Leads, and senior Technicians
Able to keep paperwork organized and assist with small service tasks
Can help lay out MDF/IDF closets, dress cables, and perform basic termination work
Comfortable working inside active Data Centers
Able to install ladder racks, supports, and seismic bracing under supervision, both above and below raised floors
