This role involves migrating Access Points from Meraki to Fortinet, including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities
Execute store-by-store wireless AP refresh, migrating from Meraki33 to Fortinet APs with minimal operational disruption
Install, configure, and validate 2–3 access points per store, including mounting, provisioning, and post-cutover testing
Build wireless configurations including:
SSID creation
Security configuration
VLAN assignments
RF optimization
Troubleshoot wireless issues: coverage gaps, authentication failures, roaming behavior, and interference
Coordinate migration cutovers, validate wireless performance, and document outcomes for each location
Manage Fortinet wireless and network configurations through FortiManager and support monitoring/reporting via FortiAnalyzer
Support Fortinet SD-WAN integration considerations to ensure wireless/WAN performance alignment
Produce deployment documentation, SOPs, and site notes to enhance consistency and reduce repeat issues
Qualification
Required
Fortinet installation and configuration
Meraki‑to‑Fortinet migration experience
SSID creation, security configuration, VLAN tagging
Wireless troubleshooting (coverage, authentication, roaming, interference)
Preferred
Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN
Retail environment deployment experience
Familiarity with enterprise wireless refresh initiatives
